Maddie & Hunter are the kind of people you just want to be around all the time. Their love for one another is so evident. Maddie & Hunter talked about how they love a good road trip, and about their honeymoon plans. Their spirit of adventure is so fun, which made their engagement session one for the books. Not only do they love a good joke, but they’ve got moves. I have high expectations for the dance floor at their wedding in December, and I know they will not disappoint!
Our night began with grabbing dinner & drinks at Torchy’s in Waco. If you’re local to Waco/Austin/Dallas, you know that Torchy’s before anything is a no-brainer. We chatted about their relationship, how they met, what their first date was like, how they knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together, and all that mushy goodness.
After dinner, we headed to the Waco dam with just enough sun left for some killer photos. I love the dam because it gives us so much space to run around and there usually aren’t many people there–especially when Texas is 10,000 degrees in the evening. We frolicked through the grass, climbed up and down a steep hill, and danced in the moonlight. Since the sun set so quickly, I got the chance to stretch my creativity by photographing in the moonlight. It was so dreamy. Not bad for a Waco, Texas summer evening. Well, besides the fact that Maddie and I got eaten alive by whatever bugs bit us. But it was so worth it.
I am beyond stoked to photograph their wedding in December! These two are keepers.
